With the new straight six-cylinder aluminum
engine, the BMW engineers have created an engine unequalled in terms of performance and
flexibility at the upper end of the market. Improving on such an engine presented a
challenge to even the AC Schnitzer engineers. For the AC Schnitzer S5 S, they have
developed a power upgrade which, based on the special intake manifold, gives the BMW 5281
a further 25 agile HP and an increase in maximum torque to nearly 300 Nm. This
modification makes the BMW 528i even more responsive , combining superb sports performance
and smoothness with no sacrifice in comfort to please even the most discerning driver.
Naturally, the AC Schnitzer S5 S already complies with the strict emission standards which
take effect in 1997. |
